Silestone®, Cambria®, Caesarstone®, Zodiaq® – All of these well-known brands fall into the category of quartz surfaces and are made from quartz aggregates and polyester binders.

Natural quartz is one of the hardest, most abundant minerals found in nature—only diamond, sapphire and topaz are harder. Because of this strength, quartz products are highly scratch resistant, but using cutting boards is still recommended to protect your counters. Quartz products can offer consistency of color, and the many color choices reflect the brilliance and reflectivity of natural quartz. Like solid surface countertops, quartz surfaces are non-porous and resist staining and liquid penetration. No sealing is needed.
